Web Accessibility Disclaimer for bluelavendercafe.com
At Blue Lavender Cafe, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website as accessible as possible.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to identify and remediate those areas.
Accessibility Assistance
If you have difficulty accessing or using any part of this website because of a disability, please contact us. Our team will work with you to provide the information, the menu, or assistance placing an order through an alternative accessible means, consistent with applicable law:
- Email: accessibility@bluelavendercafe.com
- Phone: +1 (786) 646-2495
- Address: 1414 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Florida 33139
- Hours: Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
When contacting us, please describe the specific page or feature involved and the nature of the difficulty, so that we can assist you as quickly as possible.
Our Menu in Accessible Formats
We want every guest to be able to read our menu independently. If our downloadable menu is not accessible to you, or does not work with your screen reader or other assistive technology, we will provide the full menu, including items, descriptions, allergen information and prices, in an alternative accessible format at no cost. Please request it by email or by phone using the details above, or ask any member of our team when you visit and we will be glad to read the menu to you and answer any questions.
Accessibility Features
We have taken, and continue to take, measures to support the accessibility of this website, including but not limited to:
- Providing meaningful alternative text for informative images so they can be understood by screen readers, and marking purely decorative images so assistive technologies can skip them.
- Structuring content with semantic HTML elements and landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer) and a logical heading hierarchy, to improve compatibility with assistive technologies.
- Supporting keyboard navigation throughout the site, including a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link, so the site can be used without relying on a mouse.
- Providing accessible names and labels for links, buttons, icons and form fields, including our newsletter and contact forms.
- Providing descriptive titles for embedded content such as maps, so that assistive technology users know what each frame contains.
- Maintaining text and background color combinations intended to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast requirements.
- Maintaining a consistent, responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes, devices, orientations and zoom levels.
- Offering our menu in an alternative accessible format on request, as described above.
- Reviewing and testing the website periodically using automated accessibility tools, manual keyboard testing and screen reader testing, and correcting the issues we find.
